According to the company, the Q-Class Sapphire printheads feature low crosstalk, channel-to-channel uniformity, and advanced carbon-silicon hybrid construction, which allows the printheads to fire frequencies up to 50,000 cycles/sec, while supporting binary and grayscale VersaDrop operations. The printheads also can jet UV-curable, organic solvent, and aqueous ink formulations.

The ScanPAQ 2.5 Head Array is equipped with a 2.55-in. (64.8-mm) swatch width and features four rack-mounted Q-Class Sapphire printheads. Each of the four printheads has 256 individually addressable channels arranged in a single row.
