History
Flores is one part of the eastern of Indonesia. One area in the Flores archipelago is famous for its coffee products which have spread almost all over the world. The area is Bajawa.

Bajawa comes from the word Bhajawa, which comes from two words "Bha" and Jawa ". Bha has an artic "plate", and Jawa means "peace". Bhajawa means a plate of peace or an area that starts peace to unite the whole of Flores into a whole.

At that time it was difficult for the Dutch to say the word "Bhajawa", so they often called it "Bajawa". Then the name Bajawa has become an official regional name set by the Indonesian government for Flores.

Flores Bajawa has a fertile and natural area. Flores Coffee is a type of Arabica coffee. Coffee plantations in Bajawa have a height above 1300 meters above sea level. The higher the plantation area, the better the coffee produced.

Advantages
Like the Eastern Indonesian coffee in general, Flores coffee has a strong or strong flavor. In addition, Flores coffee also has a strong aroma. The amount of Specialty coffee produced is not as much as in Sumatra. This makes Flores Bajawa coffee has a more expensive price than coffee in Sumatra.

Some time ago the Indonesian government also established Geographical Indications (IG) for the Bajawa area. This makes Bajawa coffee worthy of being called single origin coffee.
