Designed for drilling in tough soil classifications such as sandstones, fractured limestones, caliche, compacted clays and rubbles.

16in. dia. x 36in.L bit is designed to fit the BravePro two-person powerhead Model BRP343HHD (Item# 50313, sold separately)
Heavy-walled axle better withstands bending and torque loads
Heavy-gauged, helicoid-type flighting for added structural strength
Flighting pitch is set to minimize power required for drilling and to maximize the amount of loose soil removed from the hole
Field-replaceable, alloy steel cutting teeth
Field-replaceable, alloy steel centering screw bit is heat-treated to extend service life
A plain shaft-type auger extension (Item# 51571, sold separately) can be used with this bit to increase digging depth by 15in.

Hematite Powder is a mineral, coloured black to steel. It is mined as a main of iron ore and used as a weighting agent in oil drilling. It is the mineral form of iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3). Fluids weighted with API Hematite Powder contain fewer solids by volume than, making higher mud fluids possible. API Grade Hematite Powder is applicable in all types of drilling fluids, including freshwater, seawater and oil-base muds. It is used as a density increasing product, used as a weighting agent and in the paint industry. Hematite is also a harder mineral than Barite so it is more resistant to particle size degradation.
