OPA Tea, The Orange Pekoe-A Tea in full, is a fine grade of tea which consists of slightly larger leaves, compared to other Orange Pekoe varieties like OP and OP1. OPA is the Ceylon black tea grade that has the boldest, large size leaves in appearance. Made of long bold and slightly twisted tea leaves. Once brewed, these teas have a rich aromatic forest-like scent and the lighter liquor generally has a light golden reddish color and a delicate lighter taste. This tea takes slightly longer time to brew compared to other teas, but has unique taste compared to other smaller grades.
The Black Tea grade BOP is one of the widely consumed Ceylon Tea grades the world over. Once it is infused, it yields a medium reddish brew which is slightly sweet in taste and has a solid aroma.
The Ceylon Black Tea grade OP consists of the largest particle size within the 28 main grades of Tea from Sri Lanka. Once it is infused, it yields a yellowish red brew which is sweet in taste and has an appealing aroma.
The Ceylon Black Tea grade BOPF consists of a small leaf size which is ideal for tea bags. Once it is infused, it yields a dark red brew which is mildy coarse in taste and has a notable aroma.
The Ceylon Black Tea grade FBOP consists of a slightly larger leaf than BOP. Once it is infused, it yields a pale red brew which is sweet in taste and has a strong aroma. This tea contains white tips.

A popular leaf size which helps to bring out a good balance of taste and strength. Well made, neat leaf of medium size without excessive stalk or fiber. There should not be any fine particles (fanning & dust) which are not true-to-grade.
