The extrusion process shapes aluminum by heating the billet and forcing it through the forming openings in the die, producing up to 5 kilometers of extruded product from a single billet. For the pultrusion process, we provide a comprehensive selection of pultrusion products. Pultrusion is a cost-effective, continuous, automated closed-moulding method for high-volume manufacturing of objects with constant cross sections. Pulling continuous fibres through a resin bath, combined with a catalyst, and then into pre-forming fixtures, where the section is partially pre-shaped and superfluous resin is removed, is the basic process. It is then passed through a heated die, which determines the finished productÃ¢??s sectional geometry and finish.

Pultrusion can provide good composite structural materials due to cross-section homogeneity, resin dispersion, fibre distribution, and alignment. In terms of strength and weight, the profiles generated with this method may compete with typical metal profiles composed of steel and aluminium.

Liquid resin systems can be tailored to give specific performance by adding various additives. Alumina trihydrate is a filler that is used to prevent the formation of flames and smoke. UV radiation screens for increased weather-ability, antimony oxide for flame untoward incidents, pigments for colour, and low-profile agents for surface smoothness and crack suppression qualities are examples of special purpose additives.
