Trench mesh reinforcement for footing slab construction and Waffle rafts beam and piers

1. Footing slap

The reinforced footing: the preportions for the tied edge beam apply only where there is a structural connection by concrete-to-concrete contact tied with fitments.

The trench mesh is used on bottom reinforcement. The site and the type of construction difference cause we select the specification of the trence mesh reinforcement is different.

2. Waffle rafts beam and piers

The waffle rafts for a one-storey building for clad frame or masonry veneer on moderately or highly reactive sites may be supported on piers as follows without structural design of the waffle raft:

(a). pier to be located on the intersection of every third internal beam.

(b). An additional N12 bar at the top to be provided in the internal beams intersecting the piers, but no shear fitments are required.
