ZHUOJUN® Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH, PVA, or PVAL) is a water-soluble synthetic polymer (not to be confused with polyvinyl acetate, a popular wood glue). ZHUOJUN® Polyvinyl alcohol has excellent film forming, emulsifying, and adhesive properties. It is also resistant to oil, grease and solvent. It is odorless and nontoxic. It has high tensile strength and flexibility, as well as high oxygen and aroma barrier properties. However these properties are dependent on humidity, in other words, with higher humidity more water is absorbed. The water, which acts as a plasticiser, will then reduce its tensile strength, but increase its elongation and tear strength. ZHUOJUN® PVA is fully degradable and is a quick dissolver.

Polyvinyl alcohol is an excellent water-based adhesive. The general product is flake, granular or flocculent. It is not easily� soluble in cold water. Heating is generally required during dissolution. After being finely pulverized and surface treated, it has� better cold water dissolving performance. But because of its thermoplasticity, pulverization becomes particularly difficult. ZHUOJUN® polyvinyl alcohol powder, also known as ZHUOJUN® PVA, is slightly off-white to beige stable non-toxic water-soluble macro-molecular synthetic polymer, which is made from vinyl acetate through the polymerization and saponification and quickly dissolves in water to form a stable colloid. It exhibits excellent water solubility, bonding strength, film forming properties and chemical stability.

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) resin is a polymer. Ití»s usually a white or slight yellow flocculent, flake, grnular or powdery solid. Its molecular formular is (C2H4O)n. Ití»s non-toxic, insipid, non-polluting. PVA is a water-soluble resin and has good chemical stability. PVA products have a wide range of uses.
a.In the textile industry, they are mainly used as yarn pulp, fabric finishing agents, and raw material of vinylon fibers.
