Licorice, with the scientific name of Glycyrrhiza Glabra, is a plant native to the Middle East, southern Europe and parts of Asia such as India, which is a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine. Licorice contains vitamins B and E and minerals including magnesium and potassium and is very effective in treating depression, digestive diseases, and skincare. Licorice is also involved in the treatment of oral aphthous, liver protection, treatment of gastric disorders and rheumatoid arthritis, and relieving menopausal and premenstrual syndrome.
