Sugarcane Molasses is a by-product of the sugar industry. Its composition varies with different sugar raw materials and processing conditions. Application
Ruminants: Molasses are rich in sugar and protein, which can provide energy and vitamins for ruminants; it has a sweet taste and improves the palatability of feed; it reduces feed dust and improves the quality of pellet feed. Therefore, it can be used as an auxiliary material for ruminant feed Or additives, with high utilization efficiency and green environmental protection. The sugar content of sugar cane molasses is generally 48%. Although its energy density is lower than that of corn, it has a good taste compared with corn. Generally speaking, pigs, chickens, cattle and sheep like to eat, digestion and absorption are fast and have a price advantage. Some experiments have shown that adding molasses to pig feed to replace the same amount of energy feed will increase the feed intake of pigs by 9%-12%, increase daily weight gain, but slightly reduce feed returns. Many manufacturers in Europe use molasses to reduce dust, and its addition amount can reach up to 5%. A chicken feed test proved that adding 2% molasses in the production of chicken feed can improve the dust rate of pellet feed by 5.7%, and adding 3% molasses has an improvement rate of 6.8%; adding 2% of molasses to adult chicken feed The improvement rate of molasses is 26.7%, and the improvement rate of adding 3% is 28.8%. It can be seen that molasses can significantly improve the quality of pellet feed. And the larger the particles, the more obvious the effect. Other studies have shown that increasing the amount of molasses in dairy cow feed can increase milk production and milk protein content, and optimize milk quality.
