Wall hanging frames feature mother of pearl shell carving.

This piece of exquisite art is carved from the black lipped mother of pearl shell. It features a fish hook that was said to be worned in ancient time by indigenous cook islanders as a talisman and taken on fishing trips for good luck.

It is adorned with cinnet, a local fibure used for making commonly ropes. In the ancient days it had multiple uses, whereby it was used to make shoes, clothing, fishing reel and so forth.
