The whole machine including balance body, sensor and meter can be used in hazardous areas containing explosive gas and dust. DCS explosion-proof truck scale mainly consists of platform (full steel structure or ferroconcrete), explosion-proof sensor, junction box, shielded cable, power supply, weighing meter, printer and pc weighing software.
Weighing process:
The platform of explosion-proof truck scale is installed on the base of hazardous area, and other parts like weighing meter is usually installed in safety room. The truck proceeds to platform at the speed of 3~5km/h. During weighing, software performs data processing and storage, and then printer prints out the relevant info.

Optical Scale Sensor
The electronic volume scale on conveyor belts measures the volume of material on the band through an electro-optical sensor ( See Figure below ) and transfers the data to a a Programed mobile phone and it to the inclueded printer to print datas at sinde and or to computer for statistical purposes,

At a visual inspection the material is a hard brittle sand and is mainly composed of iron oxides, mostly ferric, and is bluish black in colour, but it also contains considerable alloying elements such as chromium and nickel.
The recovery ratio after melting in furnace for the most valuable alloy elements is:
- Ni: 3.5 - 4.5%
- Cr: 6-8%
From the chemical and physical analysis performed on the scrap, and according to the European environmental rules, the material has been classified as a special non dangerous waste, listed in green list. In particular the mill scale can be classified as follows:

The material is stored on cemented flooring, and it can be loaded loose in tipper trucks or containers.
