Synthetic Red Oxide Primer
Ritver Synthetic Red Oxide Primer Commercial is based on Alkyd resin containing anticorrosive pigments. It is used as a primer coat for many applications especially for protecting the metals and other steel structures against corrosion and is quite versatile. It forms a firm base with good adhesion for Ritver Topcoat Enamels and Ritver Quick Drying Enamels.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

An easy-to-use, water-based primer specifically formulated to �¢??lock-out�¢?? corrosion on a wide range of metals. Applied correctly, is guaranteed for years.

USES

Suitable on sheet metal, castings, wrought iron, TNT Bar, steel Bar and steelwork. This product is not recommended for automotive use.

COLOURS

Available in natural green.

SIZES

Available in 4 litre,10 litre and 20 litre

COVERAGE

Up to 14 square metres per litre depending upon surface porosity and application method.

APPLICATION

Roller, brush, dip or airless spray. Provide adequate ventilation during use.

DRYING TIMES

Touch Dry Time - 20 minutes. Recoat Dry Time - 2 hours. Drying times refer to normal conditions (30�?�°C, 50% humidity). Under cooler, humid or still conditions, longer drying times may be necessary. DO NOT USE IN TEMPERATURES BELOW 10'c OR ABOVE 45C.

SURFACE PREPERATION

Previously Painted Surfaces :

Scrape off loose and flaking paint and make sure the remainder is firmly attached. Sand glossy surfaces and enamels thoroughly and wipe clean. Remove all rust by abrasive blasting or mechanical sanding. Treat any remaining rust. Prime treated and bare areas with one coat SAFFRO Anti-Corrosive Metal Primer. In highly corrosive environments or within 2 kilometre of the sea, apply 2 coats of SAFFRO Anti- Corrosive Metal Primer.

TNT BAR,STEEL BAR AND IRON:

Remove all grease, dirt and other surface contaminants.Remove all rust by abrasive blasting or mechanical sanding. Treat any remaining rust with. Prime treated and bare areas with one coat SAFFRO Anti-Corrosive Metal Primer. In highly corrosive environments or within 2 kilometre of the sea, apply 2 coats of SAFFRO Anti- Corrosive Metal Primer

PERFORMANCE DATA
2. REMARKS a) Kindly refer to the MSDS for the saffro mellow coatings & resins Nano Acrylic Cement Primer which gives detailed information on Safety measures while handling the paint. b) Store the product at ambient conditions in well ventilate locations and away from the source of ignition and fire. c) Avoid eye and skin contact. In case of eye and skin contacts wash with plenty of clean water. d) Do not inhale or inject. In case of inhalation move to fresh air and seek medical attention. e) Use protective equipments like rubber/polythene gloves, safety goggle/glasses, face mask while handling. f) In humid areas, use of a bio-wash solution is recommended to remove surface fungus growth, fungal spores, mould etc. before application of the paint system. g) Do not apply when ambient temperature is less than 10�ºC or if the temperature might drop to this level within 4 hrs of application. h) Tinted paints need thorough shaking/mixing immediately after tinter addition as well as before use. i) For removing stains, sponge clean with a mild soap solution and wipe clean. Ensure drying time of 1 Week before cleaning.
