Tropical Foil Characteristics
Gold tropical aluminum foil is mainly for high-end medicine packing. Comparing with traditional SP composited bag, tropical foil can be directly heat-sealing with PVC to provide a double-barrier protection from light, gas, steam and oxygen.
Tropical foil can be printed while usually embossing pattern are more common. Tropical foil uses 8021 Soft temper aluminum which is easy to be shaped. Its upper layer, PA, can prevent the bubble shaping from being broken.
Medicinal aluminum foil is generally made of electrolytic aluminum with a purity of more than 99% and is rolled. Aluminum has the advantages of abundant resources, low price, and easy processing. When used as pharmaceutical packaging materials, aluminum foil is the only metal material in the packaging materials. Aluminum foil is non-toxic, odorless, has excellent electrical conductivity and light-shielding properties, has extremely high moisture resistance, gas barrier properties and taste retention properties, and can effectively protect the packaged items. It is a packaging material that has yet to be replaced.
Commonly used alloy numbers for medicinal aluminum foil:
PTP medicinal aluminum foil: PTP medicinal aluminum foil is also called medicinal plate aluminum foil and capsule aluminum foil. It is mostly made of 8011-H18 aluminum foil or 8011-O aluminum foil.
Blister medicinal aluminum foil: Blister aluminum foil is also called cold-formed medicinal foil. It is mostly made of 8021-O aluminum foil and is used for high-end high-end airtight, moisture-proof and light-shielding pharmaceutical packaging. The thickness is 0.04-0.065 mm;
Medicinal tropical aluminum foil: Tropical aluminum foil is also called aluminum-plastic aluminum. Tropical blister packaging is equivalent to adding a cold stamped aluminum foil cover on the outside of a thermoformed plastic blister and PTP aluminum foil. 8021-O aluminum foil and 8079-O aluminum foil are mostly used, which are high-end packaging aluminum foils for pharmaceutical packaging;
