The centrifugal pump is horizontal or vertical, self-priming or Non-self-priming, installed in engine room of the ships, used as ballast pump, general service pump, bilge pump, fresh water transfer pump, sea water transfer pump, F.W./S.W.cooling pump, fire pump, sewage pump and sanitary water pump.
The gastight bulkhead penetration (gland) is a kind of transmission interlcoked with the bulkhead between pump room and engine room for connecting the driver and the cargo pump.
The twin screw pump is self-priming, double-ended positive displacement pump with external timing gears and bearings. It can handle virtually any non-homogeneous fluid, regardless of viscosity, lubricity or abrasiveness e.g. oil, bitumen, molasses, lime, acid, caustic solution or hydrocarbon.
The pump is widely used as cargo pump and stripping pump for oil, chemical and bitumen/asphalt tankers.
The cardan shaft is used to connect the driver and distant cargo pump, mostly when the cargo pump is driven by PTO of the Main Engine of the ship. Adjustable length is optional.
