Resin cast current transformers are available for metering and protection application. These current transformers are mainly fabricated according to client’s specification. Ct coils are encapsulated in cast resin (polyester / epoxy). Secondary terminals are provided with either screws or studs. The main insulation between primary and secondary and earth is obtained by this epoxy resin. These transformers are of compact design with high mechanical and electrical properties. These are non-hygroscopic and hence give very good insulation properties even in given humid conditions.

Designed for reliability, safety and flexibility, hslí»s medium voltage cast resin transformers are tropicalized, maintenance-free, environmental-friendly, flame-resistant, self-extinguishing, moisture-proof and space optimization and suitable for application to a wide range of industries such as high rise buildings, power plant, airport, hospitals, museum, hotels, all sectors of industry, surface, underground and tunnel railway systems, oilfield, electric grid, mining, etc. Our standard range of cast resin transformers is 30kva up to 2500 kva, however, we are able to design and manufacture special units to suit most applications.
The magnetic cores are made of low specific loss high magnetic silicon steel isolated on both sides by a thin inorganic coating (carlyte). The cores are cut at 45 degrees while uniform pressing, stiffness and solidity of the columns assure a low noise emission.
The hv windings, coaxial to the column of the core, are obtained using electrolytic aluminum or copper strips insulated in f class, impregnated to a vacuum system with oven-dried in class f, a high level of cementation which provides the coils a very good isolation and mechanical seal.
The lv windings are generally made from electrolytic aluminum or copper foils having class f inter-turn pre-impregnated film insulated and then oven dried.
Hsl is an iso9001:2000 compliance manufacturer. Our transformers will be 3-phase, 50hz in frequency, naturally cooled and are manufactured equivalent of iec726 standards.
