Toddle degree of material, as 2Na2O SiO2 is 114 to 115. Viscosity ranges from 0.4 to 600,000 poise f.p. Slightly lower than water. Miscible with some polyhydric alcohols.
Uses : Catalysts and silica gels, soaps and detergents, adhesives, water treatment bleaching and sizing of textiles and paper pulp, binder for abrasive wheels chemical equipment lining.
