Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) are produced from used cooking oil (WCO/USO) through a process called transesterification. This process involves reacting tryglicerides in the oil with alcohol to produced FAME and Glycerol.
Used of FAME :
- Biodiesel : FAME can be used as a renewable alternative energy source.
- Solvent : FAME can be used as a solvent in a cleaning product, soap and detergents.
- Environmental Sustainability : FAME-Based Biodiesel can help reduce air polution and green houses gas emissions.
