PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
Magnesium oxide (MgO), or magnesia, is a white hygroscopic solid mineral that occurs naturally as periclase and is a source of magnesium . It has an empirical formula of MgO.Pure MgO is not conductive and has a high resistance to electric current at room temperature.
APPLICATION
MgO is widely used in rubber (tire, cable, conveyor belt, synchronous belt, triangle belt, rubber tube, rubber plate, rubber roller, seal, rubber plug, etc.), adhesive, friction materials, organic magnesium salts, electronic components, catalysts, ceramics, glass fiber reinforced plastic, dye, medicine, national defense and other industries.

It has an empirical formula of MgO and consists of a lattice of Mg2+ ions and O2 ions held together by ionic bonding. Magnesium hydroxide forms in the presence of water (MgO + H2O â?? Mg(OH)2), but it can be reversed by heating it to separate moisture.
The specification of MgO can be 50%, 55%,60%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 95%. It can be customized.

Product Details:Magnesite, or magnesite, is a white hygroscopic solid mineral that occurs naturally as perlite and is the source of magnesium (see also oxides). Magnesium oxide is produced by directional firing of magnesite at 850 degrees Celsius with additional grinding in a special mill. Due to the high quality of the raw material and the absence of burnt particles, the product has a high chemical activity. It has the empirical formula MgO and consists of a lattice of Mg2+ ions and O2- ions, held together by ionic bonds. Magnesium hydroxide is formed in the presence of water (MgO + H2O Mg(OH)2), but can be reversed by separating the water by heating.

Magnesium oxide can be optionally added to the formulation to adjust the coefficient of friction to the desired level, and its thermal properties provide good stability and allow heat transfer from the frictional contact surfaces. Not only that, the high refractory properties of magnesia give strong resistance to high friction temperatures while maintaining grip. In addition, the moderate hardness of magnesium oxide prevents wear of the material against the metal.
